These galleries serve as places for holding large-scale exhibitions either domestic or international based on various themes. Gallery B is used as a place for artists and groups to exhibit their works.

Modern artworks that represent the museum's collection are exhibited in this gallery. Various works both domestic and international that appeared in the 20th century and thereafter are displayed according to periods and trends. It will enable the viewer to understand the art trends from early 20th century to the present. Displays are changed regularly every year in January and July.
The gallery centers on works by artists of Japanese-style paintings such as Tomita Keisen, Yoshimura Tadao and Mizukami Taisei who hail from the region and Ota Seizo(former Chairman of Toho Insurance Company) collection of modern Japanese-style paintings(Ota Collection).
Small-sized works such as prints, drawings and photographs are displayed according to themes and artists.
A small temporary exhibition gallery to introduce themes that sharply reflect the trends of contemporary art. Also it serves as a place to hold timely shows such as the series "Artist in Fukuoka in the 21st Century", to explore new art trends of artists active in Fukuoka, and thematic exhibits of works from the museum collection.
These galleries are offered to art-loving citizens as a place to show their creative works and activities.
