The Textiles of Cambodia

Duration Wed. Dec. 2nd, 2026 - Sun. Feb. 7th, 2027

Cambodia has a rich tradition not only of stone architecture and sculptures but also of textiles. In particular, Cambodian silk weft ikat is renowned worldwide for its exquisite techniques, which allow for intricate pictorial representations. This exhibition brings together outstanding examples of weft ikat, pattern weaving, and tie-dye drawn from the museum’s collection and other collections.
